The Olympic Peninsula, Lake Crescent and the Olympic National Park

Tipping a toe and skipping a stone on a carefree day!the creek flowing into Lake Cresent
“Kai” the wonder dog is hunting the ducks…..and all is well with the world…what a remarkable place.

This trip started out as a visit to Sequim WA for the annual “Lavender Festival”….Ahhhh but little did we know the journey was about to take a turn for the INCREDIBLE!   The discovery of this camp ground and lodge on Lake Crescent which was built as a logging camp in the 1920’s was a pretty cool place to stay the night.

At times….traveling without a plan….leads to moments like this one!

What a glorious Sunday morning!

Utterly breathtaking… a perfect example of why I hesitate to make too many plans.
